The Open Education movement has been integral in giving a wide variety of online learners the chance to partake in receiving an education without being constricted by circumstances. An example of an open education source is MIT's OpenCourseWare Project. This tool along with others gives people who are motivated to learn and have access to technology the opportunity to gain a quality education for free. Another example of Open Education is Open Content. This tool is used by teachers especially to access downloadable and shareable content that is free of charge. The materials provided by Open Content resources are available to be reused, redistributed, revised and remixed. These sources of content are valuable to teachers and schools that do not have the funds to pay for premium learning materials.
