Blog Post 7: Week 7

Teacher pages are a very useful way to present incoming and current students and parents with relevant information regarding specific classes. I chose to visit the website of the school that I work at in Tallahassee: Holy Comforter Episcopal School. They do not have specific teacher pages on their website, but they do have a page dedicated to showing faculty members. Their faculty page includes names, phone numbers, and emails of faculty for each grade

I have really enjoyed blogging as an assignment this semester! It is a great way for me to apply what I learn and interact with students in the class. I have always loved writing, so being able to blog for a class has been a great way for me to practice that skill as well as have fun with an assignment! I think that blogs are a fantastic educational tool and I will definitely be implementing them in my future classroom. I have learned throughout the blogging process to write in a more casual style that still evokes professionalism

One major skill I have acquired throughout this course, especially from completing the last Web Evaluation Assignment has been using Microsoft Word. I really enjoyed learning how to utilize the table function and getting to be creative with table design and structure. It was interesting creating a document from the perspective of a teacher. There was really nothing I disliked about this assignment as I enjoy any opportunity I have to be creative. Check out my Web Evaluation Form below!

  1. Hi Gabi! Great post! I enjoyed reading it! I also learned how to utilize the table function. It took me a few to get used to using it but as I kept going I got faster and faster at it. I agree with you on how creating a document as a teacher is pretty cool. Can't wait to be a teacher in the future!

  4. Hey Gabi!! For one- I think it's really cool that you were able to use the school that you work at!! I didn't have much luck finding too many schools that still make teacher pages so it's handy that yours does! But I also have liked blogging!! It's been a fun way of expressing myself in a different way!
