Blog Post 2: Week 2

Students and teachers may be influenced by many different reasons to use technology in the classroom. Oftentimes, it is a tool provided by the school to supplement and enhance learning. Technology, in this case, is beneficial for both the teacher and the student and is used because it is already provided. Other cases in which teachers may be influenced to use technology in the classroom are that it can make giving lessons easier. Lessons that are given by way of, for example, Microsoft PowerPoint, Prezi or other similar tools are presented via computer and sometimes projectors. Using this type of technology may enable a teacher to be more interactive with their students while presenting a lesson. On the other hand, students may be influenced to use technology in the classroom to enhance the way that they learn. Blog Post 1: Week 1

My name is Gabriella, but I prefer being called Gabi. I spell it with an I instead of a Y to be different. I am a senior Psychology major at Florida State University. Last year I decided to minor in Education so that I can pursue my dreams of becoming a teacher after I graduate. I would love to teach in a private school, preferably 3rd, 4th or 5th grade. Two subjects I would be interested in teaching include Science and English. In my free time, you can find me at Tallahassee Rock Gym getting in some exercise or hanging out with my friends in new and exciting places around Tallahassee. My favorite colors are blue and yellow. I like these colors because they remind me of the beach, and the beach is my happy place. Technology has become an integral part of my life in the last ten years.
